Commuter train accident in northern Spain injures 27
MADRID (AP) — Authorities in the northern Spanish city of Bilbao say a commuter train failed to stop at a city station and hit buffers, injuring 27 passengers.
The regional government’s emergency service said on its Twitter account that the accident happened during the Monday morning rush-hour at Abando, Bilbao’s main station in the city center.
It said seven passengers were taken to the hospital and 20 were treated at the scene.
It provided no further information.
