Peach-loving local chef releases new cookbook for summer
When Belinda Smith-Sullivan worked for the Coca-Cola Company, she traveled across the country and the world. Her favorite part of traveling was collecting “food memories.”
“Every city that you ask me about, I could tell you about the food there,” Smith-Sullivan said. ”... When I go to Cincinnati, I know I’ve got to have the corned beef. If I’m in New York, it’s got to be something else. If I travel throughout the South, everywhere I stop, I have to have barbecue.”
Smith-Sullivan, who is also a pilot, started a blog about her favorite food memories called The Flying Foodie. But her inspiration for her new cookbook, “Just Peachy,” grew from memories made closer to home.
