Turquoise Hill: 2Q Earnings Snapshot
VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) _ Turquoise Hill Resources Ltd. (TRQ) on Wednesday reported a second-quarter loss of $446.5 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Vancouver, British Columbia-based company said it had a loss of 22 cents. Earnings, adjusted for asset impairment costs, were 8 cents per share.
The metal and coal mining company posted revenue of $382.7 million in the period.
The company’s shares closed at 58 cents. A year ago, they were trading at $2.77.
