Harvey heroes to be honored on Friday
A year ago, neighbors helped neighbors in the Katy area and beyond as the region began the arduous journey toward recovery from Hurricane Harvey. Now, it is time to honor those who helped in the aftermath.
Willow Fork Drainage District is scheduled celebrate and honor the Heroes of Hurricane Harvey from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, at Central Green Park, 23501 Cinco Ranch Blvd.
Serving as master of ceremonies will be Keith Garvin of KPRC.
Organziers report that this event will include awards, film clips and live music. Attendees are encouraged to picnic and bring lawn chairs. Items not allowed include alcohol, glass, balls or pets.
