NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — Virginia’s Old Dominion University has decided to close its campus for an entire day following an anonymous bomb threat.

The university in Norfolk made the announcement Thursday, after initially saying classes would be delayed until 10 a.m.

News outlets report that all offices and buildings have been closed. Staff was instructed not to report to campus, and students were told to stay inside their secured residence halls. All classes and activities have cancelled.

The school says more than 24,000 graduate and undergraduate students are enrolled and it has more than 3,000 faculty and staff.
