North Augusta man charged in domestic incident in Aiken
A North Augusta man was charged Friday in connection to a violent domestic incident involving a 38-year-old Aiken woman and her young children.
Michael Antoni Lambert, 36, of the 200 block of Lee Street, is charged with second-degree domestic violence, unlawful conduct toward a child and simple possession of marijuana, according to jail records.
Aiken County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded at 1:30 a.m. Friday to a residence on the 400 block of Marlboro Street in Aiken in reference to two 911 hang-ups, according to the report.
Upon arrival, deputies met with the suspect, the victim and her two kids.
After speaking with everyone separately, it was determined Lambert assaulted the victim during an argument, police reported.
One of the juveniles told investigators Lambert pushed one of the juveniles down while they tried to intervene between their mom and Lambert, according to the report.
Deputies reported seeing red markings and bruises on the victim’s body. She also said she had a “busted lip,” the report states.
Lambert was arrested and taken to the Aiken County detention center, where he was released on a $10,615 bond, according to the detention center.
