SCHS softball season ends at Wisner District
Schuyler’s softball season is officially over after going 0-2 in the district tournament at Wisner River Park in Wisner on Oct. 4 dropping the final season record to 3-25.
In the first game of district, Schuyler was defeated by NEN 10-2. North Bend then eliminated SCHS later in the day by a 6-1 final.
The three wins this season came against Madison/Humphrey/Lindsay twice by identical scores of 12-2, and Pierce 6-4.
Jaiden Inselman finishes the season with the highest batting average. She hit .269 and led the team with 14 hits.
Jakelin Mejia and Britney Nevarez both had 18 strikeouts while in the circle, which was a team high.
Jaiden Sock led the Warriors in runs this season with 17. She also stole a team-high 16 bases.
Maria Mendez had a fielding percentage of .901 for the best defensive mark on the roster.
