Rolls-Royce Names New Chief Executive for American Operations
LYNDHURST, N.J. (AP) _ Rolls-Royce Motor Cars on Sunday named Robert Wharen managing director for American operations, effective April 4.
Wharen, 45, is currently chief executive officer of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars International, based in Switzerland. He succeeds Howard Mosher, who resigned recently.
Wharen will be responsible for Rolls-Royce and Bentley motor car sales, service and parts operations in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean. He will also be responsible for the company’s expansion into the South American market. The company’s U.S. base is in Lyndhurst, N.J.
Wharen has been with Rolls-Royce since 1986 and was vice president of sales and marketing for the company’s North American operations.
