Slocum pitcher Taylor Hunt names TSWA 1A player of the year

BRYAN, Texas (AP) — Slocum senior pitcher Taylor Hunt who led the Mustangs to their first state baseball championship has been named the player of the year on the Texas Sports Writers Association Class A all-state baseball team.

Hunt was 9-1 with a 2.33 earned run average with 74 strikeouts in 54 innings for 22-8 Slocum.
