Battery

Kankakee police arrested Joshua E. Jones-Bolton, 27, of Chicago Heights, for aggravated battery on Sept. 29. According to a report, an officer responded to a fight at Old Fair Park at 4:46 p.m. All parties had been separated when the officer arrived. The officer looked across the park and saw Bolton and another man square up to fight. Bolton then punched the victim one time, knocking him out. Bolton fled the scene but was located and detained. It was learned that Bolton punched a woman in the jaw. The woman’s boyfriend came to her defense when he was knocked out. The woman signed a complaint but her boyfriend refused to give a statement and did not wish to cooperate. He also refused medical treatment. A judge set Bolton’s bond at $50,000.

Weapons

Kankakee police arrested Israel O. Watkins, 31, of Kankakee, for felon in possession of a weapon and aggravated assault on Sept. 30. According to a report, officers responded to a report of a subject with a firearm outside Jewel, 446 S. Washington Ave., at 9:59 p.m. Watkins fled on foot but was taken into custody. A handgun he discarded during the chase was recovered. A prosecutor said the weapon was loaded. A judge set Watkins’ bail at $75,000.

DUI

Bradley police arrested Andrew N. Pacheco, 28, of Bradley, for driving under the influence of alcohol and driving under the influence of alcohol with a BAC greater than .08 on Sept. 30. According to a report, an officer sitting at a red traffic signal at the intersection of Broadway and Kinzie saw a pickup truck southbound on 100 block of North Kinzie Avenue traveling at a high rate of speed quickly turn onto Broadway. The officer stopped the vehicle at Broadway and Clinton. The officer smelled alcohol on Pacheco’s breath. Following field sobriety tests, Pacheco was arrested. A breath alcohol test registered .180.
