RIDGEFIELD — Voters approved a $148 million overall budget at referendum Tuesday.

Residents passed a $47.8 million town budget 1,386 to 321, and the $98 million school budget 1,146 to 566.

Road and infrastructure improvements, totaling $1.8 million passed 1,489 to 217.

Six capital budget questions, totaling more than $4 million in proposed capital expenditures that would be financed with borrowing, also was approved.

More than 1,700 residents voted Tuesday night — down from the 1,925 voters who turned out to approve the 2018-19 budget during the May 15 macroburst last year.
