Mich. woman pleads not guilty to killing husband
ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill. (AP) — A Michigan woman has pleaded not guilty in suburban Chicago in the 1979 death of her husband.
A public defender entered the plea Tuesday in Rolling Meadows for 66-year-old Jacquelyn Greco of Crystal Falls, Mich. She is charged with first-degree murder. The Daily Herald reports (http://bit.ly/16ensLQ) Greco is held without bond in the death of Inverness commodities broker Carl Gaimari.
Authorities arrested Greco last month after investigators recorded a telephone conversation during which they say Greco said she had a plan to kill Gaimari.
Authorities say Greco was having an affair with another man. They say Greco told a witness Gaimari would be killed in a home invasion.
Authorities say on April 30, 1979 two men entered the family home. Gaimari was shot to death.
