HOMINY, Okla. (AP) — An Oklahoma state prison remains locked down following a fight among inmates.

State Department of Corrections spokesman Matt Elliott said Saturday that the lock down continue “at least” through the weekend at the Dick Conner Correctional Center in Hominy.

Elliott said five inmates were injured, none seriously, during the fight Friday afternoon in the gym of the prison, about 95 miles (153 kilometers) northeast of Oklahoma City and about 29 miles (47 kilometers) northwest of Tulsa.

Elliott said prison officials are still investigating both the number of inmates involved and the cause of the fight.

He said no staff members were injured and the injured inmates were all treated at the prison infirmary.

Weekend visitation was canceled at the prison that holds about 1,200 medium security male inmates.
