CATONSVILLE, Md. (AP) — A Maryland teen is accused of setting fire to a house, threatening someone with a weapon and entering an elementary school with the intention of stealing property.

Baltimore County said in a public safety release a 16-year-old boy intentionally set fire to a Catonsville home Thursday morning.

Police were then notified that the suspect was carrying some type of weapon and chasing a man on a road. Police say he entered Johnnycake Elementary School wearing a mask, but without a weapon. News outlets report the school was placed on lockdown.

Cpl. Shawn Vinson says the suspect didn't encounter any children, and left the building when confronted by school officials, who followed him until police took him into custody.

Police are still determining charges to apply. No one was injured.
