NEW YORK (AP) _ Stocks that were moving substantially or trading heavily Thursday on the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq Stock Market.

Exxon Mobil Corp., up 25 cents at $35.57

Dow Jones industrial Exxon Mobil posted second-quarter earnings of 62 cents a share, surpassing Wall Street’s estimate by 6 cents.

CVS Corp., up 79 cents at $29.74

Morgan Stanley upgraded CVS to ``overweight″ from ``equal-weight.″ On Wednesday, the drug store company reported second-quarter profits that beat analysts’ expectations by a penny a share.

Haverty Furniture Cos. Inc., up 39 cents at $15.92

Haverty reported second-quarter earnings of 10 cents a share, beating Wall Street’s forecast by 2 cents.

NASDAQ

Microchip Technology Inc., up $1.14 at $26.06

Merrill Lynch upgraded a string of semiconductor makers, including Microchip Technology, to ``buy″ from ``neutral.″

Network Appliance Inc., down 88 cents at $16.35

JP Morgan downgraded Network Appliance, a data storage maker, to ``neutral″ from ``overweight.″

ImmunoGen Inc., up $1.09 at $4.83

First Albany upgraded the cancer researcher to ``buy″ from ``neutral.″
