WVC Girls Hoops: Nanticoke Area Tops GAR

At Nanticoke Area, Jilann Baron (11 points), Riley Baird (10) and Lauren Casey (nine) led a balanced offensive attack for the Trojanettes in a 57-34 win over GAR in WVC girls basketball action on Monday.

GAR had the game’s top scorer with Olivia Prato, who netted 16 points. Hannah Cook and Gloria Adjayi added seven points each.

Most of Monday’s scheduled girls basketball slate was postponed.

At Pittston Area, a staggering 32 players got on the court for the two teams, as Hazleton Area built an early lead and never looked back.

Faith Grula led the Cougars with 15 points, while Kyra Antolick added 11 points and Olivia Wolk 10.

Brooklyn Pedana scored seven points for Pittston Area.
