Jeanette Faye W. Boothe, 75, passed away Jan. 15, 2019, in Shelton, Washington.

Her family is hosting a memorial service at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26, at The Pavilion in Shelton, Washington. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made in her name to either your local animal shelter, Kitten Rescue, or St. David’s Shelter, both in Shelton.

Jeanette was born on June 7, 1942, the third daughter of Emil and Alvina Ahrens, and raised in Columbus, Nebraska. She attended Platte County District 2 School, and graduated from Columbus High School in 1961. After high school, she married Gerald Whitcomb, and they moved to Shelton, Washington in 1969, where he practiced law.

In 1984, Jeanette married Steve Boothe. She passed the Washington State Bar Exam in 1986, and opened her own law practice in 1987.

Besides law, Jeanette loved animals, the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, fishing, the Mariners and the Seahawks, and spending time at her Kamilche home.

Jeanette is survived by husband, Steve Boothe; daughter, Cortnae Whitcomb (Adolfo) del Valle; stepsons: Jim (Amy) Boothe, Jeff (Shayla) Boothe; sister, Joyce Runge of Columbus; six grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and more special friendships than can be mentioned.

She is preceded in death by parents, Emil and Alvina Ahrens; sister, Marion Lusche; and brothers-in-law, Lawrence Lusche and Allen (Doc) Runge.
