The following preliminary hearings are scheduled before District Judge Ken Johnson in Somerset:

Strangulation

Clyde Fieg, 52, West Garrett Street, Somerset, was charged Sunday with second-degree felony strangulation, simple assault and harassment. According to a probable-cause affidavit, at about 5:01 p.m. Sunday Fieg assaulted a woman at the West Garrett Street home, choking her in the process. Fieg was arraigned Sunday by on-call District Judge Bill Seger, of Windber, and was sent to the Somerset County Jail in lieu of a $10,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9:45 a.m. April 16.David McCune, 21, Cherry Lane, Somerset, was charged Saturday with second-degree felony strangulation and two counts of simple assault. According to a probable-cause affidavit, McCune assaulted a woman on Thursday, choking her in the process. The woman alleged that McCune also locked her in a bedroom Saturday and threatened to kill her cousin. McCune was arraigned Sunday by on-call District Judge Bill Seger, of Windber, and was sent to the Somerset County Jail in lieu of a $25,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. April 16.
