Huskers land commitment from junior college running back Dedrick Mills

September 4, 2018

Nebraska landed a junior college commit Tuesday afternoon.

Dedrick Mills, a Garden City (Kansas) Community College running back, pledged his commitment to the Huskers via Twitter.

Mills was originally a three-star commit to Georgia Tech in 2016. He ran for 771 yards and 12 touchdowns on 152 carries for the Yellow Jackets his freshman season before being dismissed from the program in August 2017.

He carried the ball just seven times last year for Garden City before breaking his collarbone. Through one game this year, Mills — now a redshirt sophomore — has 24 rushes for 267 yards and three touchdowns for Garden City.

Mills was in attendance for Nebraska’s 2018 spring game.
