Bridgeport police: Probe into shooting of boy moving quickly
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) — Police say the investigation into a drive-by shooting that killed a 12-year-old boy in Bridgeport is moving quickly.
Clinton Howell was shot outside his home on Tuesday night.
Police have said there is a person of interest in the investigation. Police Chief Armando Perez said Thursday that detectives are looking into the possibility that more than one person was involved in the shooting.
The Connecticut Post reports that Perez said the investigation was “going very, very well.”
Howell was a seventh-grade student at The Bridge Academy charter school in Bridgeport. The school was putting on a resistance-to-violence assembly and celebration of life in Clinton’s memory on Friday.
