White Rose Eclectics reopens in new location in downtown Aiken

February 2, 2019

White Rose Eclectics is in a new location.

The store reopened Friday at 142 Laurens St. S.W., which was the former site of Charlotte’s Bridal Fashions.

White Rose Eclectics previously was based at 116 Pendleton St. S.W., but closed there Jan. 28.

Martha Wise, owner of White Rose Eclectics, said she decided to move the store because of the desire for “more foot traffic” and “more business.”

White Rose Eclectics isn’t offering as many home décor items as it did while it was on Pendleton Street.

“We are mainly focusing on jewelry, hats and apparel for women,” Wise said.

Something new at White Rose Eclectics is formal wear.

“We have a small selection of prom dresses,” Wise said. “If someone needs a dress in a size that we don’t have, we can order it for them if it is available.”

White Rose Eclectics also has several new lines of plus size clothing.

“There are a lot of nice suits for church and that type of thing,” Wise said.

White Rose Eclectics’ operating hours are 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.

“Our new location is amazing,” Wise said. “We have chandeliers, and there are cowhides everywhere on the floor.”

Charlotte’s Bridal Fashions closed in 2017.
