State police investigate ATV fatality in Adirondacks
BLACK BROOK, N.Y. (AP) — State police say an all-terrain accident in the Adirondacks has claimed the life of a northern New York man.
Radio station WIRY in Plattsburgh reports troopers say they found the injured man around 9 p.m. Tuesday on a road in the Clinton County town of Black Brook, in the Adirondack Park’s northeast corner. He has been identified as 55-year-old Michael Bombard of AuSable Forks.
Emergency crews treated him at the scene before taking him to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Troopers say Bombard was driving an ATV when it left the road and went into a ditch before hitting a tree. Bombard was ejected and landed about 10 feet from the vehicle.
Police say their investigation is continuing.
