SALEM, Mass. (AP) — Authorities have identified the man struck and killed in a hit-and-run in Lynn earlier this week.
The Essex district attorney’s office said the man struck at about 1 a.m. Tuesday at Union and Smith streets was 31-year-old Oscar Fernandez of Lynn.
No one has yet been charged with his death, which remains under investigation.
A 29-year-old Beverly woman was arrested for driving with a suspended license after officers saw her fleeing from the area where Fernandez was struck. She has been released on personal recognizance and has refused to discuss the case.
