LOCAL FOOD MAP — The new ARC Bon Appitit Appalachian local food map-guide, featuring some 283 locations from southern to northern Appalachia, including 24 from Georgia, showcases some of the region s most distinctive food destinations, including farmers markets, farm-to-fork restaurants, farm tours, festivals, vineyard and breweries, and is included as an insert in the summer issue of Food Traveler magazine.

Aug. 28. 11 a.m. KSU-FOOTBALL UNIFORM UNVEILING — The Kennesaw State Department of Athletics will unveil its football uniforms along with the 2015 inaugural season logo on Thursday, Aug. 28. The unveiling will take place on the Campus Green and will coincide with the Seventh Annual Welcome to the Block Kickoff Event that will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (ET).

Aug. 29 - Sept. 1. DRAGONCON — Organizer of DragonCon, an international pop culture convention, are expecting 62,000 visitors at the festival in Atlanta. The event is held in five host hotels (Atlanta Hyatt Regency, Marriott Marquis, Sheraton Atlanta, Westin Peachtree and Atlanta Hilton) on Labor Day weekend.
