Houston woman hospitalized following Labor Day drive-by shooting
A Houston woman was rushed to Herman Memorial after she was reportedly hit by gun fire during a drive-by shooting Monday in south central Houston, police said.
Around 7:43 p.m., Houston police were dispatched to a home in the 2500 block of Briley to investigate reports of a drive-by shooting. The victim, who was shot in the thigh, was alert when officers arrived and is expected to survive, police said.
A female suspect is in custody in connection with the shooting, although police have not yet identified the suspect or the victim.
