Monogue leads Jefferson boys to rout over Clinton

CLINTON — Junior James Monogue scored 15 points and Ryan Brost added 11 for the Jefferson Eagles in their 71-35 victory over Clinton in Rock Valley Conference prep boys basketball on Tuesday.

Monogue scored 11 in the first half to help the Eagles build a 47-19 lead. Ten players scored for Jefferson (6-1, 4-1 RVC). Ben Sukow, Cory Kaiser and Jared Vogel each scored seven points.

The Eagles made eight 3-pointers and nine free throws compared to Clinton which made three 3-pointers and two free throws.

Senior Riley Anastasi scored 10 points to lead Clinton (1-5, 0-5) and Tyler Dominy added seven.

Jefferson plays at East Troy on Friday at 7:15 p.m.
