Callon: 2Q Earnings Snapshot
NATCHEZ, Miss. (AP) _ Callon Petroleum Co. (CPE) on Monday reported second-quarter net income of $50.5 million.
The Natchez, Mississippi-based company said it had profit of 23 cents per share.
The results met Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 14 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for earnings of 23 cents per share.
The independent oil and gas company posted revenue of $137.1 million in the period, surpassing Street forecasts. Eleven analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $132.7 million.
Callon shares have declined 11 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $10.77, an increase of roughly 2 percent in the last 12 months.
