Police: Man stripped naked, broke into homes in Aliquippa

November 14, 2018

Police in Beaver County are investigating why a man stripped naked, broke into homes and crashed into several vehicles Tuesday afternoon.

Aliquippa Police Sgt. John Cochran told Tribune-Review news partner WPXI-TV the incident started about 3 p.m. A man performing HVAC work at a home on Davidson Street started displaying odd behavior and was kicked out by the resident, police said.

“While we were en route, this individual then broke into another house next door, removed all of his clothing and then proceeded to get back in his vehicle,” Sgt. John Cochran told the news station.

He allegedly crashed into several cars and broke into another house.

“This elderly female merely stated that he’s inside and he’s naked as a jaybird,” Cochran told the station.

Police eventually arrested the naked man after he allegedly hit more cars and assaulted a woman. The station reported a neighbor held the man at gunpoint.

“It’s not a call that you get on a daily basis, that’s for sure,” Cochran said.

The man had not been formally charged late Tuesday. He was being evaluated at a Pittsburgh hospital, WPXI reported.
