Center seeks more turkeys for giveaway

The Franciscan Center is looking for 900 more turkeys for those in need.

The center expects to give out more than 1,500 turkeys to clients during the annual “Turkey Tuesday,” a statement said.

So far, 600 turkeys have been donated/funded and the center is asking for the public’s help to fund the final 900.

There are several sites to drop off a turkey:

The Franciscan Center’s main offices, 1015 E. Maple Grove Ave., from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 to 11 a.m.  Saturday; The Franciscan Center Family Thrift North Store, 925 Coliseum Boulevard E., from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday; The Franciscan Center Family Thrift Southwest Store, 6145 W. Jefferson Blvd., in the Jefferson Crossing Shopping Center, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.

Donations will be accepted online at www.thefranciscancenter.org or mailed to 1015 E. Maple Grove Ave., Fort Wayne, IN 46806.
