Plaza fountains flowing again
Just in time for some of the hotter days this summer, the fountains in front of the Edwin J. Rousseau Centre in downtown Fort Wayne are once again serving as a refreshing sight for passers-by.
That’s after about six years of being turned off to repair problems that led to water leaking into the centre’s basement under its southward facing plaza, said Mike Green, public information officer for Allen County.
Green said today the fountains were back in service to stay after the were tested several times last week.
The restart capped a $2-million, year-long construction project that repaired and upgraded most of the plaza.
