TORONTO (AP) _ Vince Carter will miss at least the next five games because of a leg injury that kept him out of the All-Star game.

Carter reinjured his left quadriceps Thursday, in the Toronto Raptors' last game before the All-Star break, and was placed on the injured list Tuesday.

After receiving the most All-Star votes, the forward was unable to play in Sunday's game in Philadelphia. Carter has averaged 25.5 points _ fifth in the NBA _ 5.6 rebounds, and 4.3 assists in 49 games.

The Raptors also placed forward Jerome Williams on the injured list because of a high right ankle sprain. He has already missed three games.

Carter and Williams are eligible to return on Feb. 20 against Charlotte.

Toronto activated center Mamadou N'diaye from the injured list and might have Morris Peterson back soon.

Peterson has missed 19 games since breaking the index finger of his non-shooting (right) hand on Jan. 2 at Portland. The team's second-leading scorer averaged 12.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists a game.

N'diaye has been out since Jan. 10 because of left quadriceps tendinitis. He's played in one game this season, scoring two points.
