Woman dead, husband arrested in rural western Washington
COLLINS LAKE, Wash. (AP) — Authorities say a woman was found dead in an apparent homicide and her husband was arrested southwest of Seattle in Mason County.
KOMO-TV reports the man called 911 at about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday and said he had killed his wife, according to the Mason County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office says the woman was found dead at the scene in the Collins Lake area and that the husband was arrested.
A Mason County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson said it appears a weapon was not used in the slaying.
No further information was immediately available.
