Hidden Garden Tour in Bloom at Fitchburg Library
FITCHBURG -- Do you enjoy beautiful gardens? In an armchair tour at 6:30 p.m. on May 15 of some the best public gardens and hidden gems of the Northeast, you will learn about each garden’s history, horticultural highlights and special events that will inspire you to plan your own visit.
The lecture at the Fitchburg Public Library is followed by a book signing by Jana Milbocker, author of “The Garden Tourist.” This event is part of Freedom’s Way National Heritage Area’s Fifth Hidden Treasures Month.
Milbocker is an avid gardener, plant collector, garden designer and writer. She lectures on a variety of gardening topics and has presented at the Boston and Connecticut Flower Shows, Massachusetts Horticultural Society, and at many garden clubs and organizations. Milbocker is a garden designer and owner of Enchanted Gardens, a landscape design and installation firm.
She is a past president of the Holliston Garden Club and active in the Garden Club Federation and the Massachusetts Horticultural Society.
This is a free program and free parking is available in the lot at the corner of Boulder Drive and Newton Place.
