‘Terminator 3’ DVD in Stores After Recall
BURBANK, Calif. (AP) _ A two-disc DVD of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s ``Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines″ will be released a little over a month after the California gubernatorial recall election.
The DVD, which will be released Nov. 11, has a suggested retail price of $29.95 and the video is $22.96, Warner Home Video spokeswoman Emily Zalenski said Monday.
Schwarzenegger and director Jonathan Mostow recorded a commentary for the Warner Home Video version, which includes additional scenes, an on-set gag reel and four visual-effects labs that allow viewers to build their own action scene.
The DVD will include an HBO ``First Look″ documentary on ``T3,″ a SkyNet personnel-weapons database, storyboards and a costume-production design gallery. There is also a ``Terminator″ series timeline.
Broadcasters in California have said they will likely not air Schwarzenegger movies such as the ``Terminator″ or a repeat of a ``Diff’rent Strokes″ episode with Gary Coleman for the next few months to keep rival candidates from demanding equal air time.
Schwarzenegger, Coleman and more than 240 other candidates have filed to run in the Oct. 7 election to recall Gov. Gray Davis. The equal-time rule kicked in last week, when the state certified the list of candidates.
Cable channels are not covered by the Federal Communications Commission’s equal-time provision, which in the past kept reruns of ``Death Valley Days″ off the air while Ronald Reagan ran for president.
