86-year-old inmate dies in Olympia-area jail
OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) — Authorities say an 86-year-old inmate died in a jail in northwestern Washington state.
The Olympian reports Louis Trongale of Olympia died early Monday morning inside the Thurston County Jail.
Thurston County Coroner Gary Warnock says there are no signs of foul play, but an autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.
Authorities say inmates alerted corrections staff about a possible medical emergency inside a bathroom Sunday night. Staff found the man unresponsive but breathing.
They attempted to revive the man, but he stopped breathing and died.
Trongale was arrested earlier this month on 12 counts of first-degree possession of depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
