Forrest Burdette Fall Festival set for Nov. 3

October 6, 2018

HURRICANE — Fall is in the air, and so will be the delightful smells of BBQ and baked goods at Forrest Burdette Memorial United Methodist Church’s Fall Festival on Saturday, Nov. 3.

Organized and hosted by the United Methodist Women of Forrest Burdette, the annual festival will feature arts, crafts, books, vendors, hot dogs, BBQ and the country store from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Crafters will offer a wide variety of merchandise, including crocheted items, mesh and other seasonal wreaths, sewn and quilted products including jewelry (some handcrafted), one-of-a-kind specialty designer bags, wood crafts and signs, home baked dog treats, metal and wood garden and yard art, photography, locally harvested honey, woven items, handcrafted wheel-thrown pottery, Christmas ornaments and decorations, and locally written and illustrated children’s books.

Vendors that have signed up already include Studio-M and Mary Kay, according to a news release from the church. Coupled with the book sale, it’s a perfect one-stop shop to mark all the names off your holiday shopping list, according to the release.

There will also be baked goods and candies, seasonings and Rada cutlery in the “Country Store” — and, of course, those “famous” Forrest Burdette hot dogs and BBQs.

The United Methodist Women support local, state and world mission projects with funds raised from community events such as this.

For directions to the church, check out the web site, www.forrestburdette.com. Call the church office 304-562-5903 with questions.

Call 304-542-3969 or email office® forrestburdette.com for an application to be a crafter or vendor. The church now has its Life Center gymnasium available, so there is plenty of space to add booths.
