CHICAGO (AP) _ Detroit designated hitter Dean Palmer and manager Phil Garner were ejected in the top of the 10th inning Sunday against the Chicago White Sox.

Palmer struck out looking against Chicago's Bob Howry to begin the inning and stood for a moment at home plate. Palmer walked back to the dugout, and home plate umpire Greg Bonin ejected him. Palmer ran out of the dugout and appeared to bump the umpire.

Garner then came out and argued with Bonin for about a minute before also being ejected.
