Free summer concert Rockin’ the Dock returns to Havasu Landing
HAVASU LANDING -- The Rockin’ the Dock beach party and concert is returning to Havasu Landing on July 6 for its third year. The beach concert will feature the band Littletown. The party includes a sandcastle competition and a waterslide.
The event is free and open to the public.
The sandcastle competition will be held from 9 a.m. to noon, with judging and prizes awarded at 12:30 p.m. Competitors may sign up any day before the event at the main administration office next to the guard shack, or from 9 to 10 a.m. on the day of the event.
The waterslide will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
At 6 p.m., partygoers will be invited to suit up and swim out to watch the concert from the water in a buoyed-off swimming area with a floating dock. The concert can also be watched from boats, or on lawnchairs and blankets on the day beach area in front of the stage.
Merchandise will be sold at the Havasu Landing booth, including limited edition tank tops.
