City of Ludington to host ward meetings

Ludington residents and community members are invited to attend an upcoming series of public meet-and-greet events held in each of the city’s wards.

Ludington’s new City Manager Mitch Foster will be present at each of the meetings to introduce himself to the community. The city councilor from each ward will also be present at their ward’s meeting, according to a news release from the city.

Mayor Steve Miller and At-Large Councilor Brandy Henderson Miller will be attending any one of these meetings as well.

At the meetings, people can get to know officials and discuss issues and ideas for city projects, including strategic planning for 2019-2020, the release stated.

The First Ward meeting will be at 7 p.m., Tuesday, April 9, at Lakeview Elementary School, 502 W. Haight St., with Councilor Joe Lenius.

The Fourth Ward meeting will be at 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 10, at Pere Marquette Early Childhood Center, 1115 S. Madison St., with Councilor Cheri Rozell.

The Third Ward meeting will be at 7 p.m., Thursday, April 11, at the Ludington Senior Center, 308 S. Rowe St., with Councilor Les Johnson.

The Second Ward meeting will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, at Lakeshore Resource Network, 920 E. Tinkham Ave., with Councilor Kathy Winczewski.

The Fifth Ward meeting will be at 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 17, at the new Ludington Fire Station, 918 E. Tinkham Ave., with Councilor Angela Serna.

The Sixth Ward meeting will be at 7 p.m., Thursday, April 18 at Foster Elementary School, 505 E. Foster St., with Councilor Dave Bourgette.
