CHARTER BUS CRASH-ARKANSAS

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — A charter bus carrying a youth football team from Tennessee crashed early Monday in central Arkansas, killing one child and injuring at least 45 other people, authorities said. Arkansas State Police said the bus overturned along Interstate 30 near Benton, about 25 miles (40 kilometers) southwest of Little Rock, while traveling from Texas to Memphis, Tennessee. Police said most of the injured were children who were taken to hospitals in Little Rock and Benton. By Jill Bleed. Developing, will be updated.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Twenty-five years after “Cracked Rear View” launched their careers, Grammy-winning rock band Hootie & the Blowfish will release a new album and launch an official tour next year after a decade-long break. The Southern pop-rockers, featuring lead singer Darius Rucker, Mark Bryan, Jim Sonefeld and Dean Felber, broke out with their major label debut in 1994, which has been certified 21-times platinum and made the Recording Industry Association of America’s list of the top-10 most popular albums of all-time. FATAL ROBBERY-TENNESSEE, from MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police in Tennessee say three minors are among six people charged with first-degree murder in a fatal robbery in Memphis.
