Kingwood Dance Theatre kicks off the holiday season with the Nutcracker

Start your holiday with mice soldiers and mechanical dolls featured in the the Nutcracker presented by Kingwood Dance Theatre in December at the Atascocita High School Theater.

For the past 32 years the Kingwood Dance Theatre has brought holiday joy to the community by re-enacting the classic Christmas tale. Over 100 dancers and performers will entertain the crowd as they see mice soldiers, gliding sleighs, magical trunks and snow falling from the top of the theater.

The role of Clara will be shared by Katie Pratt and Sunnie Swenson. Keira King will perform as the Sugar Plum Fairy and guest performer Andre Prikhodko performs as the Prince. Lily Agnew will portray the Snow Queen and Abigail Bentley and Jenna Monteleone will share the role of the Dew Drop.

The first showing of the Nutcracker will be on Dec. 1 at 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and Dec. 2 at 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Reserved seating tickets are $20 and may be purchased on the Kingwood Dance Theatre website or at the Rowland School of Ballet located on 1320 Kingwood Dr.
