Teen male suffers multiple wounds in Akron shooting

AKRON, Ohio — A 19-year-old male was hospitalized after he was shot near the South Akron neighborhood.

Police say the male was walking on the 300 block of East Crosier Street at about 3 p.m. Tuesday when an unknown male fired several shots at him.

The victim was shot in the left hip and his buttocks, according to police. He was taken to Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital.

No motive for the shooting was given and police say the victim was unable to give a description of the suspect.
