Jaguars’ Boselli Has Ankle Surgery
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) _ Tony Boselli, starting offensive tackle for the Jacksonville Jaguars, had surgery Monday to remove bone chips in his right ankle.
Surgery was performed by Dr. Stephen Lucie, the team’s physician, and Dr. Hiram Carrasquillo, Jacksonville Orthopedic Institute foot and ankle specialist.
Lucie said Boselli should complete his rehabilitation before the start of training camp on July 24.
Boselli injured the ankle Nov. 2 against the Oilers in Memphis and missed four of the final eight games. Boselli did play in the AFC wild card game in Denver and in the Pro Bowl.
The ankle continued to bother him in the team’s offseason workouts, and he opted for surgery.
