Dine with fine art at the Uptown Grille

March 18, 2019

Get a taste of fine local art at the Uptown Grille in Chebanse.

In collaboration with the Merchant Street Art Gallery of Artists with Autism in Kankakee, the Grille is holding a special exhibition featuring some of the gallery’s artists.

The restaurant will feature works by Drew Carriker, Andrew Caroll, Shiro Ma, Caitlin Phillips, John Small, Hope Turngren and Jenna Varley from March 20 until April 3.

“Join us in our dining room and lounge as fine art pairs itself with fine cuisine and fine wine during your dining experience in this two-week exhibition,” said Grille owner Laura Emme.

All artwork on display will be available for sale, with proceeds going directly towards the gallery and its artists.

A free reception to meet the artists will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Grille. Interested art lovers should RSVP their attendance by calling the Grille at 815-697-9710, as space may become limited.
