CHANDLER, Ariz. (AP) _ Rookie Brandon Bernstein got his first NHRA Top Fuel victory in just his second start, winning the Checker Schuck's Kragen Nationals on Sunday.

Ron Capps and Greg Anderson also posted wins at the $1.9 million race.

Bernstein finished with a 4.574 second run at 322.58 mph to edge Larry Dixon at the finish line. Bernstein's father Kenny also won his first dragster race at Firebird International Raceway.

Capps covered the quarter-mile in 4.868 at 310.13 to claim his 14th career victory in Funny Car.

Anderson finished in 6.865 at 201.61 in a Pontiac Grand Am to hold off Troy Coughlin and post his fifth career victory in Pro Stock.
