Nick Small to perform at Drs. Bruce and Lee Foundation Library

FLORENCE, S.C. -- The Doctors Bruce and Lee Foundation Library will continue its celebration of Black History Month with A Salute to Music Through the Ages presented by Nick Small (AquilaBeats), Feb. 12 at 6:30 p.m.

Small will take the audience on a musical journey, starting with tribal drum beats, and continuing the journey by performing on the drums, the keyboard, acoustic guitar, and percussion instruments. Small has been playing drums since the age of 2. He officially started band in 6th grade, and continued through senior year with involvement in pep band, marching band, concert band, and the Florence Youth Symphony Orchestra. During high school he was the recipient of many awards and scholarships including the James E. Clyburn’s Rudolph Canzater Scholarship.

Small has opened for Keith Sweat, James Fortune, and played for Vashawn Mitchell. He currently plays and records for Stephen and Lori Ward, among numerous other artists.
