Fog sealing work planned for Havasu roads next week
Lake Havasu City will continue street work next week.
Work crews will apply fog seal during the week of Monday, May 20.
The fog sealing process is an efficient and cost effective method of prolonging the useable service life of asphalt pavement.
The application of the material generally occurs on one side of the street at a time and the remaining side is completed the next day. Residents and businesses, located along streets being improved, receive a door hanger notice in advance of the construction and again 24 hours prior to the work.
The city asks that residents remove all vehicles from the streets and avoid releasing water into the street during the time that they are scheduled for work.
Streets are closed off to traffic during the fog sealing process. However, motorists traveling on a street being fog sealed can expect delays with lane restrictions and possible flagging to direct traffic flow.
Drivers are asked to exercise caution when driving through any construction area.
