Two Fort Mohave men arrested in Yavapai County raid

KINGMAN — Two Fort Mohave men were arrested Friday after a raid on a marijuana operation in Yavapai County.

After a month-long investigation, Arizona Department of Public Safety detectives raided an illegal marijuana operation on two properties in Yavapai County and arrested seven people, including Keith Arnold Hogave, 39, and David John Venus, 58, both of Fort Mohave.

The seven suspects face charges including possession of marijuana for sale, production of marijuana for sale, possession of narcotics, production of narcotic drugs, possession of dangerous drugs and fraudulent schemes, according to DPS.

Seized in the raid were 791 pounds of cultivated marijuana, 67 marijuana plants, 180 grams of THC wax, 107 grams of LSD, 16 unknown pills, four weapons, one hallucinogenic mushroom and more than $4,300 in cash, DPS reported.

The investigation was conducted by DPS officers and a Mohave and Coconino county gang task force.
