NEW YORK (AP) _ Honor Glide took the lead entering the stretch and prevailed in a driving finish to register a one-half length victory in the 42nd running of the $150,000 Bowling Green Handicap for horses 3 and up.

Ridden by Jose Santos, Honor Glide covered 1 3/8 miles of turf in 2:11 to earn $90,000 for Robert G. Schaedele. It was the first victory in two starts this year for the 5-year-old by Honor Grades.

Parade Ground came from far back to finish second in the field of six. It was a half-length more to Federal Trial, who was disqualified from third to fourth for interfering with Fahris in the stretch. Fahris was placed third in the official order of finish.

Honor Glide returned $20.40, $8.40 and $6.40. Parade Ground paid $4.20 and $3.30 and Fahris was worth $5.80.
