Milford PD looking for bank robbery suspect; reward being offered
MILFORD — A $500 award is being offered to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest of a recent bank robbery suspect.
Around 10 a.m. Wednesday, Milford police responded to Bank of America at 1331 Boston Post Road for a report of a bank robbery. Witnesses told police that a man walked in the front door and walked up the teller, demanding money.
The suspect did not show a weapon or imply that he had one, police said. After he got the money, the amount of which was undisclosed, he left the bank on foot.
A police K9 track was attempted, but the dog was unable to catch the man’s scent.
The Connecticut Bankers Reward Association is offering a $500 reward for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect.
Police described the suspect as a medium-build black man with a beard. Witnesses said he appeared to be in his late-30s or early-40s and stood about 6 feet tall, weighing around 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black baseball hat, sunglasses, a green T-shirt and jeans.
